Min verden

Kona og jeg tok oss noen dager fri og dro til Estland. Landet feiret sine 100 år den 24. feb 2108 og det var festivitas over hele landet. I Haapsalu har vi bekjente og det var hit vi dro. Her overnattet vi på Päeva Villa . Utenfor hotellet kan du spasere rett ut på isen og vandre utover langs kysten. Vi fikk flere fine turer denne helgen.

Normally we should have lots of snow and cold now, but it is about 0 C most of the time. Many years ago, from 1986 to 1993 we didn't have snow either, so when people today say that this is unusual - it's not. When the Winter Olympic was arranged at Lillehammer in 1994 we got more snow than usual, but the 7 previous years we didn't have anything in the southern part of Østfold.

I had to wait for some hours on my way from the western part of Norway to Oslo. Traffic Jam and accidents were quite normal this evening. I used 11 1/2 hours instead of 6!

I drove along the road 7 across the mountain from Oslo to Norheimsund today.

 It is monday 30th of dec. and the year is almost gone. The weather has not been so ok, but today we could see the sun. It looks like spring, but it should have been snow here now. Where is the winter?  Halden has a nice harbour and during the summer there are lots of small boats here. In the background you can see the castle (Fredriksten Castle) from where you have a real nice view of the city. The smoke is coming from the chimneys at a large papermill, but luckily we have no funny smell in Halden. The process they use gives no unpleasant odor.    

From Skeikampen, Gausdal in Norway. The picture was taken 29th of dec. 2013 and there was only -1C at the moment. This winter is warmer and with much less snow than usual.

Finally we have found time to go back to Skeikampen. We have spent very little time here this autumn, but we’re back. The winter is here, but not with so much snow as usual. When I arrived last evening there was about 60cm with snow on the roof and it took some time to get rid of it. Today it is about +1 Celsius. These pictures were taken this morning right before 09:00 local time and it is still quite dark outside.

It is already december, but it was +6C instead of snow and cold as usual at this time of the year.

It was foggy this morning. Not an usual Christmas morning with snow, but -1, sun and icy roads with lots of fog.
